Ice Kachang, Anyone?

This is one of our favorite cold treat in Singapore.
I couldn't even take a single shot without this dessert being touched.As soon as it landed on the table, the two kids started to devour it
even with mommy pleading them to wait for a while.
Ice Kachang is an iced-dessert almost similar to our Pinoy halo-halo but instead of having it in a tall halo-halo glass, it is served in a shallow bowl with the shaved ice formed to a tower. At the bottom of the bowl are jellies, red beans and corn. It also comes in a variety of toppings like their famous durian, chocolate or my ever favorite, mango.
A serving with mango topping is usually $2.40 (P75.00).
Must be so yummy. This little boy is a very picky eater and this is only one of the very few foods he eats. Loves this even better than ice cream.

ATE KATE! Have you tried CHENDOL? It's far better than ICE KACHANG!!! You're in SG na? San na kayo? =)

HI Kate! I like Ice Kacang (funny that they pronounce their "c" as "ch") too. But I like Cendol even better :-). It's more "Filipino" in taste because of the panucha and coconut. Nice to see you online!
Hi Goober, hehehe I noticed too that it is spelled as Ice Kacang but parang weird naman if sabihin ko "one ice kakang please" hahahaha. We really have to try that Cendol soon. Thanks for dropping my site.
